HISTORY OF  YAKI HISTORY OF  YAKI HERBAL LABORATORY
(Calendar Year 2008-2011)

        YAKI Herbal Laboratory is a manufacturing company of pharmaceutical products such as Yaki Oil Liniment, Yaki Beauty Care Soap, Yaki Baby Soap, Kiddie Yaki Syrup and Yaki Capsule. The firm was established in the year 2007 after approval of its license by Bureau of Food and Drugs and Cosmetics (BFAD) as a pharmaceutical manufacturer of herbal products. Its first laboratory facilities were constructed in Rizal Street, Susana Homes, General Santos City.

 
        On the early inception of the company, its market of products is solely focused in some parts of Mindanao notably Davao, Zamboanga, and Cotabato. But a dream to expand its market to Visayas and Luzon Region was a top priority.

        The acronym of YAKI is “Yaman Ang Kalusugan Ingatan” which means human health is wealth.

        Due to a big vision and dream to expand, improve and build a bigger building, suitable size, design and location, YAKI Laboratory was transferred to Barangay Paco, Kidapawan City, North Cotabato also in the year 2007.  In said place, the big vision of Ms Pua came into reality. Modern facilities were constructed and state of the art manufacturing equipment were infused to enhance production and increase quota of products. Likewise, additional employees were recruited to cope up with the increasing demand of the consumers.

        The sudden increase in the demand of YAKI Herbal Products from the province of Surigao, Agusan and Cebu is the result of the tandem and hard work of Mr. Raffy Madamba and Ms. Lourdesima R Pua; both were formerly engaged in media practice and also the sincere dedication and indefatigable character of Ms. Merlie Mina on her commitment as company Pharmacist and Head of the Production Division. Such kind of experience and dedication to duty  had catapulted the popularity of YAKI products to provinces in Mindanao and as far as Visayas. It is best to describe further, that YAKI products gained popularity among its consumers not because of its acronym but precisely of the efficacy and proven medicinal value and on the true notion that people nowadays are shifting to the natural method of healing their diseases.

        With it’s almost four (4) years of operation YAKI Herbal Laboratory had achieved some of its main goal as evidenced by its increasing line products and facilities. To date the existing facilities of the company are as follows:     

        A one storey building with Lot area of 800 square. Meters and the building floor area is 450 square meters, where the YAKI Oil Liniment is being manufactured. Likewise, a big storage room for finished products had been put up to maintain the quality of individual product. Next to this, is a room for the manufacture of YAKI Herbal Soap and adjacent is the cooking area for the oil liniment.
